Our Approach To Building Your New Home

Initial Meeting 

An onsite meeting will be arranged with our builder Shayne Goold to discuss your ideas and requirements. You have the choice of a Lateral Homes plan or can meet with our drafting team to custom design your home. We will prepare drawings as required and prepare a quote outlining the scope of works and cost.


Preliminary Contract

Enter a preliminary contract and organise soil testing, engineering, title search and all associated certification required to provide you with a firm price contract. We will take care of all council applications and processes.


Residential Building Contract

With the preliminary work completed, a Queensland Master Builders contract (QMBA) is entered into. Lateral Homes will then offer a fixed price contract and a detailed specification.


Job Commencement

Construction of your new home will commence once we have received the necessary documentation, including relevant approvals.


Handover

"Handover" takes place when your new home in completed by the terms and conditions stated in th contract an you are happy with the finished product.


Settling into your new home

You can rest assured that Lateral Homes' service to you will continue even after the construction process has finished. We will provide you with a maintenance service for the first six months after handover.
